“Leather” pilled on the toe of both shoes after one week wearThese boots looked really nice online in the pic. When they arrived I was even more pleased with them. They are very good looking boots for my two boys ages 6 and 5. They also have a very rugged tread on the bottom which is one of the reasons I selected this boot. They can wear them if it snows a little or if there is a little ice or rain. They will have really good traction which means they can wear them longer into fall and early winter.Bought these for my son who doesn't like boots and now I can hardly get him out of them. I gave them to him for Christmas and it is March. Already the toe leather has peeled off or I would have given them five stars. But to be fair my son is very hard on his shoes.My sons love these boots. The only thing that I have found is the brown on the bottom comes off after some use. I'm not sure if waterproofing would help this or not. Other than that, both my 4 and 8 year old wears them all the time.****UPDATE....4 month update. Well look at the pictures. My three year old has put them to the test and see pics. Very disappointed with quality. I'd expect Durango to put out quality stuff but I guess I was wrong. Don't buy.Boot looks great, feels great but very disappointed in quality. Its not real leather more like pleather. My three year old loves them and uses them as his play boots but the toe is already peeling after 4 days. Understand that kids will beat shoes to the ground but not after 4 days. These boots are made in China. Pretty disappointed that Durango would go that route. Durango was always a brand you could count on for durability. Guess not anymore. Pay the extra $15 for real leather boots.Been worn for 1 month as school shoes only by a 6 year old and the toes are already very worn, which I suppose is to be expected.. He loves them and doesn't care about the worn spots, I just hoped they would stay nice a little longer...Our youngest grandson has wanted the same Durango boot for his birthday for the last 4 years!My 4 year old finally decided to wear them five months after getting them as a Christmas present. Glad I ordered a size up. They look great, he loves them, but they scuff easily.
