I have had the hardest time finding children's shoes with tie-up laces in my local stores. They all have elastic ties part-way, then a velcro closure. At least, that's all I could find until I got up into the bigger sizes. My daughter wears a size 10-11 in little girls' sizes, and the velcro closure doesn't give a secure hold on her foot. Maybe she just has skinny feet.Anyway, she wanted to run a children's race, just a 1K Fun Run, but she needed shoes that would stay on properly. These were a great price and very attractive. I got the size 11 in the blue/silver. It seems the price fluctuates, so I'd keep an eye on that. I paid $20, which seems reasonable for a child's shoe that they'll grow out of quickly. The shoe itself feels high-quality. She says it is very comfortable and likes the color.good shoes, but same size in nike is longer and this is how I chose the size, so it was smaller than expected. also a bit narrow. my son has a narrow leg and I usually buy the M width, and he had new balance before that were ok but he complained this was a bit tight at first, after 2 days of waking it's better. So far so good. My 9 y.o. boy was going through a pair of running shoea a month, due to that new superlight foam material many brands are using now. We've had them for 3 weeks and they're holding up nicely. Ordered half a size up it was a perfect fit.Bought these for my son. Always buy at least one size up from what your kids usually wear as NB always runs small. In adult shoes a half size is usally good, but in kids you need a full size up. This is his second pair and he loves them.I bought shoes for my 8 y.o. grand. First pair was too small, even I have ordered size 3.5 instead of 3. Size 4 just feet him and he will probably be able to wear them till winter. Our boy is very happy with them and say they are comfortable.I purchased these shoes for my daughter after 2 years of Skechers. These are very cute and my daughter immediately loved them. The only thing I can say negatively, they are lighter in color and my daughter managed to have dirty shoelaces after a few days. These are well constructed and she can run around and have adequate support for fitness. I will buy again. My son likes the shoes. Luckily they come in wide. I don't know about the arch support or if they are comfortable. But they do look nice - from a Mom's standpoint. My daughter wear Sure Step orthodics and it is difficult to find wide style shoes with laces that will accommodate them. New Balance is the only brand that fits every time. And for once she actually got a pair with cute colors. Most of her other sneakers are so plain. Very happy. I will surely order again when her feet grow out of these.
