With the weather warming up and play time spent outside as much as possible I'm really glad we got to try the new Stride Rite SRT in Lime Dimitri for free thanks to Stride Rite via BzzAgent! They are so lightweight and breathable for hot sweaty toddler feet and my daughter absolutely loves the color (what toddler doesn't love shoes the same neon hue as a brand new tennis ball lol). We love how easy they are to put on and take off because of the Velcro straps; they look like adult shoes which is so cute and my toddler loves that she can do the straps just like a big kid. I was a little worried about durability because they really are so lightweight but they have held up much better than anticipated. My toddler climbs everything, loves to splash in any puddle she can find, and is pretty hard on shoes in general but these are still going strong and I'm certain they will last until she outgrows them. The reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is because I think compared to their other styles these run a little on the small side so if you aren't sure about size of go with the bigger of whichever two you are in between. :)It's a great shoe, but it's too small and too narrow compared to other Stride Rite shoes same size and width. We put 7W against his other sneakers and it's quarter to half a size smaller and seems very narrow for W. We were unable to put the shoes on him. We returned the shoes and ordered 7.5XW. Hope we didn't overdo by going wider and bigger, but the shoe needs to be wider and bigger. It's a great shoes - lovely color ( we got blue), super light and simple. Love that even the logo is very small. Don't care for the logos all over children's clothes/ shoes so thank you for keeping it minimal.Great shoe for summer as the mesh is breathable and should also dry easily if it does get wet. Excited to get the bigger and wider pair.Ok, now 6 months later he is happily wearing his 7XW shoes which are worth 5 stars (once you get the right size figured out). He is hard on all his shoes, but they still look like new.It's really hard to find yellow toddler sneakers! My daughter's favorite color is yellow and I was happy to finally find these in lime, which is really a very bright yellow. She loves the color. I don't feel like these are made for sturdy long term toddler wear, since she's only had them for a month and they are already showing a lot of wear. I do like that they have flexible soft soles, which are better for foot development. They are also a bit narrow, especially with thicker socks, so we have to be careful what socks she wears.These shoes are great and my son loves them. They're breathable and light. Think of them like Nike Frees or Inov8 F-lites, except the heel is a bit higher than your typical "flat" shoe.Given that these are breathable and light, one should expect that these are not durable shoes. The sole is made of foam and not rubber. Kids that are hard on their shoes (or like to scrape on the sidewalk while they walk) would wear these shoes out really quickly. My son has been wearing them for about a week and the foam is starting to peel.I have a very hard time finding my 1.5 year old son shoes for his wide feet. He is still pretty bowlegged but walks fine. He just has a hard time with other shoes because they trip him the entire time due to them being flat or have bulky soles. I have only found Stride Rite shoes to be the ones he can wear comfortably that allow for him to run run run just like he loves to do. These shoes are by far my favorite Stride Rite Purchase. BY FAR. I will be buying these in larger sizes as he grows. They are so lightweight and easy to put on and take off. My son loves to strap them on and unstrap them himself. The soles are perfect for supporting how my son walks and runs. I highly recommend these to every parent of a little walker/runner. They are great.As the other reviews state, these are very narrow. I originally ordered a 5 regular and had to return for a 5 wide. My guy doesn't even have the typical fat baby feet! I was desperate for the new shoes, but probably should have returned them, too. They aren't going to fit for very long and I'm now on the hunt for a different pair for him to wear. I think these shoes are probably great for ages 2+ when kiddo's feet narrow out a little bit, but they aren't good for fat baby feet.Over the last few months I have tried 7 different "wide" width shoes for my 2 year old son, none of which have fit. I finally came across these in extra wide and was thrilled when they came and fit perfectly!! I cannot say enough good things about this shoe. My son's feet aren't wide in the traditional sense, but the top of his foot is very "puffy", if you will, and most shoes to accommodate fat feet like that don't come in sizes 7 and up. These are perfect, as the elastic bands are actually super stretchy and the tongue of the shoe can be pulled all the way up to fit his fat foot in the shoe. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone who's toddlers have not grown out of the fat baby feet stage yet! Thank you Stride Rite!Very flexible and easy to bend. Seems like my son can walk very well in them, even as a beginner walker. I wish they were a little wider but overall great shoes. The Velcro seems to be holding well, as he likes to "undo" his shoes when he is not walking. the non-slip works okay, he still had some issues until he gained more balanceGreat shoes and super cute. I ordered size 4 big kid for my 7year old since there was also a size 4 little kid and size 4 toddler. But these shoes are clearly for a 2 year old. Wrong sizing listed or they shipped me the wrong size.Super light weight shoe but the sole is slippery. May not be the best first time or early walking shoes for babies who are learning to walk.The product itself is hard to rate since the shoes are sized incorrectly! Ordered a 6 Big Kids and they are definitely a toddler shoe. So frustrating.Do not order if you actually need big kid sizing!These came in the next day but they are narrower than the other strike rite we have so will be returning these.
