I will say I was a bit worried that these wouldn't fit. It seemed like every pair I looked at either ran too big or too small. After reading several reviews on different products, I decided to go with these and I'm so glad that I did! I ordered one size larger than usual because I wanted to accommodate for my daughter's extra thick socks.First I'd like to say that almost every pair I considered was either going to keep her feet warm and not look so great in the process, or they were going to be cute and not keep her feet warm. This pair is the only one I found that qualified for BOTH of those qualities! It's hard to see in the stock photo but they have pink flowers at the bottom on the white part of the heel. They also have faux fur around the top and the inside, making them SUPER warm and comfy. They look like suede, not sure if they are but they seem to be. Another thing I like about these is that they don't tie. Most times when my daughter wears shoes that tie, they end up getting loose and eventually come untied. These have a bungee type, elastic lace that you just pull and slide the lock (not sure what it's called) to keep them nice and tight. We played in the snow for 3 hours and they never even thought about loosening up. They're waterproof and water resistant which is also another plus. She didn't have a hard time walking in them like she has with other brands in the past. They aren't big and clunky and hard to walk in. They fit very snug and weren't bulky. After playing outside for all that time, we came inside and took off our boots and to my surprise her feet were still nice and warm, and they were totally dry. I would definitely buy these again, and when she outgrows these, and I'm looking for new ones, I'll more than likely stick with this brand. :)I purchased this product at full price. I have tested this product, and all opinions are my own. I highly recommend this product! After reading other reviews I'm a little concerned that they are a set up to sell their terrible product, or I was sent an imitation version of this boot and was scammed for money. This is why; I live in Alaska, well known for snow, cold weather and in my area wet, cold, weather. So it's very important and required that our kids go to school with the proper winter gear. I bought this product as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It was opened on December 25th, 2014 but wasn't first used until January 1st after our vacation. So my daughter used the boot for about a week when problems began to arise.First Problem: On the boot as advertised in the very last picture they have posted is a tag sewn into the boot that claims it's waterproof. This is a complete and utter fabrication. These boots are no where near waterproof, and at the slightest wetness from snow will get wet and cold. So keeping your kids feet warn and dry is not an option with this boot.Second problem: After the untreated non waterproof leather got wet it began to bump and curl. I was sure to take pictures to prove my claims to show that I'm an actual customer.Third Problem: You would think that after dropping $54.95 that the boot would hold up. Not this dazzling product! After the first week, the purple thread began to unravel around the seams and the sole of the boot. You can also see that the purple flower decal on the sole of the boot began to peel off like it was a sticker.Fourth Problem: Let's get to the sole of things. After a week the bottom of the sole started peeling apart faster than expected. You would think after forking out $54.95 that you would get what you're paying for. I've had cheaper boots last much longer and that were actually waterproof. Needless to say after a week, my daughter no longer wears these boots as I have had to purchase something that keeps her feet dry and warm and holds up to walking in snow.I hope this review helps, and that as a parent you don't get suckered in and waste your money. These boots are adorable. I wanted winter boots that weren't clunky and hard to walk in, and were also cute enough to wear on ordinary cold days. These are perfect. It's not clear from the product description, but these boots were made for Hanna Andersson, so, unsurprisingly, they are very cute. The navy ones have flowers embroidered on the back heel; the black ones do not. My daughter wears a size 10 now, and we got the size 11 to get all the way through the winter, and because you want to be able to wear thick socks. I'd day they run a hair bit shorter than other brands in the same size--maybe a half size, or not quite a half size? They look very well made, and I love the bungee closure. I wish I could get a pair in my size! This is my daughter's second pair of Jambu winter boots and these were loved more than the first pair due to the higher shaft which keeps out snow completely (you can lace top of shaft tight over pants or fit under snow pants. No complaints on daughter's narrow feet, no blisters, rubbing or discomfort. Wasn't sure they would be warm, as the lining is synthetic, but she never complains of cold feet and her feet are always dry. Overall, Jambu has proven to be an excellent investment for winter boots and a very good investment on other types of shoes. I don't write reviews often but after 3 years of winters with Jambu I'll continue to purchase as both mom and daughter are happy. We bought up one size last winter and the sizing was generous without being too clunky so we are getting 2 winters on the same boot.I ordered these one size big and with socks they are still a little roomy. They are extremely comfortable and soft. My 5 year old daughter hasn't taken them off...and it's not even winter yet! She says they are too comfortable. The lacing system is very easy for her to use and I love the little flower detail on the lower white edge. They are very well made and the tracking on the bottom is great for the heavy snow we get here in Utah.
