These shoes are really waterproof though not in the zipper. The bigger problem is that the lining is made of some incredibly cheap (not even woven fabric) material that is very scratchy and leaves cuts on the skin so long socks are a must! Also, the zipper is flimsy and already coming apart just after a few months.Really good boots. First of all my 3 yrs old son likes them so I think they should be comfortable. They are very nice - I think they are prettier in real life than on the picture. And at last they are so easy to put on and off because of two zippers. I definitely would recommend these boots to everyone.I love them for my son. I wish they had the same ones for adults. They are water proof and warm. He walks very good in them and they are not heavy like Timberland boots. I bought a size 10 for toddlers. They run like tims do.My son is very hard on shoes. I mistakenly thought these would last longer.I read the reviews and ordered a larger size. My grandson loves them because he can practice tieing the laces and still get them on and off quickly with the zipper.True to size. Really well made and tough. The leather is soft on the outside but really thick. I can tell they will last for a long time.They don't go too high up the ankle; they're just right. The zippers on the sides make so easy to get on and off of a squirming toddler too.I was hoping they would be softer and easier for my little guys foot to move in.
