After reading many reviews that stated these sandals run small I decided to order up a size for my son. This was a mistake, the shoes runs true to size. With that said my son does not have a wide or thick foot...just normal little dude foot. The price was so good I am going to keep them until he fits them probably next summer. The quality of the sandal seem good like most reef sandals. Just wanted to post a word of caution to order normal size if your kids foot isn't wide.I purchased these for my 2 year old son so he can be like Daddy. My husband only wears reef's flip flops as well. These were super cute on my son. They fit well between his toes. The strap did not fall off his heel like many other strapped flips do. My son has short little fat feet and he didn't have issues with these. They are a little pricey for a toddler shoe considering how fast their little feet grow but I went ahead with it anyway because I knew that Reef sandals were a good quality.Picture showed slipper without the ankle strap, but when i got it , it had the strap. That's ok cause i can just cut it off later. This is the second one i bought, in the next size up for my son. It 's Very comfortable, my son likes wearing it. One of the main reasons for buying this particular style is that the rubber at the bottom of the slipper has a lot of grip. It doesn't slip even on wet surfaces which is really important because my son has slipped and fell and hit his head before with other slippers. Even though it is quite pricey for slippers, it is still a deal for me because i purchased it for about $20 on amazon, and it costs about $27 in the retail stores here. Plus it is well worth it for the safety of your child. We have been regular buyers of this model for our 7 year old for the last several years. It took some time to get used to Reef's numbering system as it related to the sizes advertised, but once you get over that little hurdle, it's good. Reef doubles up on sizes, and sells a "13/1" size as "13", and a 2/3 as a "2", and so on. We hoped we could skip a size this time around when he outgrew the 11/12, and started by ordering the 2/3. Way too big, so we ordered the 13/1 and it's great, with some room to grow. Keeping both pairs because he will grow into the next size for next year...or earlier, since he wears these year round for swim team. Great product.Really loved these for my toddler son, but they were way too big. I measured him according to the chart, but my experience with Reef sandals is that they run big. I'm returning these for a smaller size- love how they support his foot more than normal flip flops, and they have a great strap around the back that doesn't move up and down and rub. /My 1 year old loved these shoes. They are easy to take on and off and comfortable enough to walk in all day at Disney. I like that there is some arch support and that they stay in place while walking. The stitching on back strap is coming loose on one side. The shoe is still wearable but I will need to reattach the fabric piece. Just a manufacturing error. My son loves these sandals, we bought them in the correct size but then had to go down one size bc they were too big. The only problem I have is that the back strap has loosened and will not fall off the back of my sons foot.I bought this for a family trip to Florida, so I'll have to see how this shoe holds up to my sons active nature. The only thing that I am disappointed about is that the size 11-12 toddler shoe that I purchased does not have a heel strap as shown in the picture. I hope these flops don't fly off my son's feet.Excellent sandals, my kid loves it? Very comfortable and nice looking. Highly recommended. I bought one for my daughter too.
