Got these for my 10 year daughter as she was going to a week long exciting day camp full of hiking, swimming, zip lines, lazy river, running games, even non-moving activities like skits and art, etc. So we needed an all purpose shoe like this which is half tennis shoe half sandal to quickly go on and off for water and land activities. We wanted a higher class shoe/sandal than one of these shoes than you find at a Walmart or Target or local shoe store.The product arrived on time. It is a higher quality looking and feeling shoe. Wish it had a velcro back heel support to adjust, but what they had works. My daughter took it out the first day and immediately the bungee rubber band like laces broke at the camp which they had to ghetto rig it to stay together. Disappointing because the rest of the shoe is great. The next day the other laces broke and she wasn't tugging hard on them, just broke while doing activities. I could understand breaking after months of wear and tear but one to two days, fustrating.The shoe is great. Higher quality shoe. But if you buy the shoe I would advise buying your own laces as the original laces are weak and will break on you if you do any sort of sport activity.For me individually the feel of the shoe made me confident that we bought a good shoe, didn't expect the laces to be so bad. Unfortunately for me I threw away the return label, receipt, and return package the day I got the shoes because it was trash day. Learned my lesson not to do that again no matter how good a product looks when you first receive it.My grandson always wears black hi-tops with knee-high white athletic socks, just like his dad. He told me that was all he had, so I bought these for him. Everyone liked them, but he won't wear them, says they "feel weird." I hope he'll get used to them, but for now, they are in a box in his closet. They are just what I wanted, but he won't budge.I spent a lot of time looking for wide width sandals for my son. I thought I had found it with these- but they are regular width. I have bought Northside sandals before, they are decent shoes and hold up against my hooligans all summer. I did have to return these this time though due to width.We bought these for our 5yr old daughter who just got into a size 13. They are a little big but we're hoping to go allllllll Summer without her outgrowing from a sudden growth spurt like she normally does! They feel great on her feet, wash well and are comfortable. Only complaint is rocks get into them sometimes but they're easy to take off/on.These are solid three star shoes. Cheaply made, but equally inexpensive. I don't expect them to last a super long time, but they won't be for extreme wear... There are obvious marks of cheap workmanship, especially in some of the molding by the heal and the loose stitching, but nothing that should affect use.My son thinks it works for most, but pulling the string to tighten it wasn't convenient. The string came offonce and we had to wiggle it around to put it back inPerfect camp shoes for my girl! I also bought a womens size 5 at the same time. These were bigger and fit her better. Pleased with the price, too.Cheap shoes. Bad quality. I have two kids who go through shoe sizes faster than I can keep up with, so I prefer bargain shoes, but these are junk! The dark purple background color is actually made out of foam, kind of like a pool noodle. They don't even need to be sewn because they are not fabric. The look like they would be the same neoprene stuff found in all the other sandals like this, but they are not. The heel part that sticks up in the back is actually very sharp and rigid. It would hurt terribly if a heel slipped back and stepped down on it! Major design flaw.
