Pay attention to other reviewers' comments concerning the shoe opening. I ordered these shoes for my 5 year old son to replace his Pediped dress shoes. I was in a pinch and needed them quickly so I ordered these against my better judgment after reading reviews. I ordered a size 11W. His feet are not particularly wide, but I purchased wide on the rare occasion that I purchase the Stride Rite brand. He has to work to get his foot in the shoe. We ALWAYS have to help him get his heel down into the shoe. I cannot believe these shoes are leather as they are not pliable at all and they are as tight as they were the day I bought them months ago. They feel like a Payless shoe. I typically only buy Pediped and See Kai Run shoes, so I know what leather shoes should feel like. They are also very clunky and are beginning to look scraped up. They serve the purpose now that we have them. He only wears them to church or special occasions. However, I cannot recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking for a quality leather dress shoe for their little one. I am rating them 2 stars since my little boy is wearing them. I am taking a star off for each factor of importance to me: fit, material, construction. Only buy these if they are priced right and order a size up with hopes of getting them on your little one's feet.
