Bottom line: would buy again but not this color.I bought these shoes for my 5 year old son in K who is required to wear non athletic shoes during the week for his private school. He has worn them for the entire school year and I am very impressed with the durability of the leather. He only recently started to show scuffs on the toe. And he is five. And likes to do all the crazy play things a five year old does. What I am not impressed with, and the reason I took a star off, is the sole. The rubber wore off through the stitching within about two months. And I cannot figure out how it happened. He does not dance on his heels or scuff his heels or does any type of motion that would cause this. My daughter, who has the same brand but a different color, had no such wearing.
