Sturdy shoe, I am happy with my purchase. One star off only because it seems you have to break them in, they're a little stiff at first and Im not sure if it because these work work like the original saltwater where you get them wet to conform to your feet? I haven't tried that, but he seems to really like these a lot so I probably won't bother with it. Size is true to size toddler 7 fits perfectly they go with everything with out looking to dressed up or down. All around a good buy I will repurchase again once he grows out of these.nice and super quality shoes. BUT, in size 9 they fit way too big.I usually buy the see kai run shoes. My son has very wide feet, like paddles. These shoes worked well for him. They also are industrial strength. He has had them for 4 months now and have very little wear. He is pretty rough on his shoes. My 6 year old twin boys wore these through a whole summer of day camp and 2 trips to the beach. These boys climb, jump, wade, spit, scooter, torture their sister and wrestle on pretty much a continuous basis. They generally don't get a chance to grow out of shoes before they demolish them. These sandals lasted a whole summer which is near equiv to a sandcastle surviving a hurricane (well two hurricanes actually).Seriously, I am talking about boys who managed to tear holes in just about every pair of shoes they have worn since the age of 18 months. I'm actually thinking of bronzing these, making them into a trophy and presenting them to the manufacturer.Nuff said.I love it. That’s the most beautiful sandals for boys I’ve seen. You can dress up or down with it. Most of all he said it’s very comfortable. Highly recommended for active kids.My son has been wearing these for about a month. They hold up great, I only wish the velcro tab was slightly longer as it sometimes comes undone.I love the style of these shoes. My 3.5 year old son is on his second pair. I first got them as a shoe to wear when he had to look nicer than daycare or playgroup occasions, but my son found them to be comfortable & chose to wear these to daycare over his sneakers or Keen sandals. Despite his frequent wear to daycare, which includes playground and water play, these have held up nicely. They clean well under running water, dry fast and don't look too badly scuffed or stiff from getting wet.bought a size 13 for my 4yr old grandson, who usually wears a 12 or 12.5. the leather of these is the exact same quality as the traditional style saltwater sandal. they do run slightly larger, but not quite as much as the standard style (which is usually a full size difference. he's definitely got enough room to get him clear through the summer without question!
