I was really surprised when I put these on that they are so incredible comfortable. I think it has to do with the mesh all over the sneaker. I bought these for myself to go work out in. Previously, I bought a pair of asics and I felt those did not give me enough support even though they were running sneakers. These provided my soles with just the right amount of support and allow my toes to stretch and move. Too bad I bought them for the gym bc I really do want to wear them every where and everyday.I also ordered a men's pair for my husband bc they are so comfortable. I understand this style has been updated bc I see a higher style number in the stores. That explains why this pair was so affordable. Who cares if its not the latest version. Its stylish and priced right!For years we've always purchased the "Big Name" shoes and mainly because of the name. As you get older, you begin to care less about labels and more about quality and pricing. My wife was told about New Balance by a co-worker and she went and purchased a pair. She was very pleased and since that day has only purchased New Balance. So with that type of in home ringing endorsement, I also purchased a pair to "try and see".That was nearly 8 years ago and now we both are sold on New Balance more than ever. These shoes arrived last week and I've been wearing them daily with zero complaints. Listen, if you need shoes that fit, very comfy and won't break the bank; then try a pair of "N" and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.....@crippledshark_kripIn my opinion, New Balance sneakers are the only sneakers that will last longer than two weeks on my very active 10 year old. I have tried almost every brand! She runs round, plays jump rope, climbs on things and rides her bike and scooter almost daily. After buying other sneaker brands over the years and being sorely dissapointed, (its so maddening to spend $60 on a pair of sneakers and see rips a couple weeks later!) I will only be buying New Balance from now on. They seriously last the longest. Even after a beating they still look decent. The colors stay true and these shoes look clean even when they aren't totally clean. True to size.I bought these for my son and he loves them. I purchased a pair of Saucony at the same time but these New Balance were the favorite even though he liked the looks of the others better. These seem to have a truer fit than the Saucony. The New Balance have great support and are still in great shape after a lot of wearing. The colors are still going strong but the white sole doesn't stay white even with vigorous cleaning. These appear to be a very durable shoe as they have been through a lot (river, ocean, biking, hiking, running...) and still look great and are providing good support. We'll happily purchase these shoes againMy son was wearing a size 4 1/2 Reebok shoe but they were getting too small so we found these New Balance at a local store. He tried on the size 5 and couldn't even get them on. We then held them next to the 4 1/2 Reebok and they were noticeably smaller. He tried on the size 6, which was the largest in the store and they were basically the same size as the 4 1/2 Reeboks, so we ordered a size 6 1/2 from Amazon. The 6 1/2 fit just right, but was a full 1 1/2 sizes larger than the size he would wear in other brands.I am almost afraid to confess I bought this shoe for my 7 year old daughter. The fit was perfect, we have purchased Geox tennis shoes, Saucony and NB was a new brand to us but we simply love them. The colors are vibrant, the fit was comfortable right out of the box. My daughter has average width feet and she loved them immediately. My only pet peeve with tennis shoes are the round laces that never seem to stay tied. We tied double bows for weeks but by midday she reported then always came undone. We replaced the laces with silicone ones and that solved the problem. Great shoe will but again when they go on sale.This is a really zippy looking shoe. I bought these for my son as his first lace-up sneakers. They seem to be high quality and he loves how sporty they look. I'm waiting to see how long they hold up after active, daily use to decide if it's worth the price tag. They weren't too expensive, but still a lot to pay if they don't hold up over time. I hope that they last much longer than the cheap shoes I've been buying up until now.Loved the shoe! Unfortunately, the size I got was a big too snug, so I had to return (which was so easy!) I think because it is a running shoe it runs a bit small (which is typical). They didn't have the next size up for me so I can't re purchase, but I loved the design and would definitely recommend the shoe, just make sure you get a size or half size up from your regular size, since it's a running shoe.Extremely comfortable to wear - I sometimes find that heel and arch support can be lacking in some footwear products, but not with these.
