I bought a size 1 and (a size 2 for my granddaughter to grow into), she loves these boots! I like the quality and warmth this boot provides for our very cold winters and they are not too cumbersome for her to play in for any extended amount of time. My disappointment is that I just now took the size 2 out of the box to put in the closet for next year and discovered instead of two size 2 boots, it came with one size 2 and one size 1 boot. As much as this has annoyed me because so much time has past before I discovered it, I'm still going to give this five stars. The size 1 she enjoyed this last winter is exactly what I was looking for to keep her feet warm while playing outside. As stated in other reviews these boots do run small. Knowing this, I ordered both boots two sizes up and they were perfect.I previously bought size 9 winter boots for my 2 year old son. He has pretty big feet for his age. I went to put them on his feet and none of them fit! A few of my mom friends recommended the Kamik's. They were exactly what I was looking for. Great below zero temp rating, removable liner, waterproof and the bonus was 2 adjustable areas. I ordered a 10 and 11 to see which fit my son's feet best. I went with the 11. I couldn't even get the 10's on his feet. Definately order at least 1 size up. So far they have kept his feet nice and toasty during our very early cold winter weather here in Michigan. I'd buy Kamik's again!I had the tough choice of buying new snow boots mid-winter. So I did size up a bit with the idea that she’ll wear them next winter too. Easy to put on and take off. Her feet stay warm as well.It was great for my daughter! It was a little rough to get the liner back into the shoe after pulling it out, but other than that it was great for winter camp in the snow.I ordered a pair each for my 10yr old and 8yr old. My 8 yr old has wide feet, so I ordered a pair in the wide size. They were too narrow for him. And, the regular pair was too narrow for my 10 yr old. So, now my 10 yr. old is wearing the wide size, even though she does not wear other shoes in wide. The quality is a solid boot with a warm liner, just beware of the size issue.You can never go wrong with Kamik boots. I keep going back to the Kamik brand year after year for my kids because they fit well, they're great quality and they're a great price. We live in Utah with a ton of snow - so we wear our snow boots a lot... yet I'm always able to pass down our Kamik boots from one child to the younger sibling because they hold up so well year after year!Based on other reviews I did go up 1 size and they fit! I have not used the boots yet as the winter is not here but I do worry if they will be waterproof and if they will be warm enough. I purchased a different Kamik (Snowbug 3) boot for my daughter which seems warmer and I absolutely love hers. I will try to update once the snow kicks in.Is it possible to change the size?My daughter currently wears a 3 Kamik so I bought a 4 but it is too small. We are in South Africa and heading for summerso I need a size 6 so that she can wear them next winterI thought it would be good for walking to school but evidently it is awkward for daily use around town. Also, my daughter is extra skinny so evidently snow gets inside the boots from the wide opening. We are new to the snowy winter so it is probably our bad that we didn't know this product is meant for other stuff. The mediocre ratings are just us not getting that much out of it, not product defect. The product itself is sturdy and very pretty, we will probably use them very little and end up donating them to Goodwill when they no longer fit. Should've just bought Kamiks AT Goodwill (lol).Great boots!
