I got these for my daughter to wear to camps that required closed-toed sandals and then to start off the school year. So far they are holding up great and look very cute. My issues with them are that she gets blisters if she doesn't wear socks with them AND her feet get very stinky in them, quickly! Our remedy has been to send her in socks but with a Mary Jane style shoe, this is not always what we want to do (and she REALLY dislikes socks!) They have washed up nicely though and she tells me they are comfortable despite the blisters (although my guess is, this is to avoid the wearing of socks). I would not buy these again for the above reasons but they are working well enough to finish out their use this year.My daughter likes and they fit well. She is at a camp where water shoes are a must. THese shoes have replaced her sneakers and water shoes - she only wears the one pair all day. They are 'sneaker like' so it doesn't seem like they would dry as fast as maybe something that doesn't absorb water but she hasn't complained. I guess that's why I put it short 1 star - just that it seems 'sneakery' and therefore that it might not dry as quick as another water shoe. But again, no complaints.oh - and no smell either and my daughter wears them everyday, no socks, and in wet - which is pretty amazing. (she's 6 1/2)This summer has been plagued with "bad" water shoes. Our son has complained about every water shoe he has tried on - it's scratchy, it doesn't feel right, it pinches right here. But, the minute he tried these shoes on, he was happy. "Mommy, these are soft inside!" I think I actually heard the choir of angels sing. While we haven't used them in the water yet, I can say they are lightweight with solid construction. The mesh upper appears as though it will dry relatively quickly and the rubber soled bottom makes Mom happy for use at the water park or other potential running activities on our way the beach, etc. The velcro straps are easy for our almost 5 yr old boy and the blue color is great. He's calling them his "shark shoes." I hope these are available next year so I can buy them again! The shoes are great, my son loves them. They have a nice look and they arent white so easier to keep looking nice. My complaint about these and most athletic shoes in general is that when is someone going to come up with a lace that doesnt seem to want to come loose every 5 minutes? Its bad enough on adult shoes but kids...seems in the age of phones as computers and cars that talk we could come up with a better shoe lace!I bought this shoe for my daughter. She has wide feet, and can only wear New Balance or Skechers comfortably. These shoes are OK, but don't fit nearly as well as the other New Balance shoes we've had. They also are maddeningly hard to clean. I've rinsed them out several times and even run them through the washer, and there's still river sand in them. You'd think that a water shoe would be easier to clean.I bought a pair of these for my son 7 months ago and they have held up amazingly! He wears these shoes most days and is very active (like most boys). He runs a lot at school and so I thought I should get him something that supports his arches better than a skate shoe. He has been very happy with them and I am thrilled that they have outlasted all other tennis shoes I've bought him in the past. I will be buying him another pair for the new school year.I bought all three kids these shoes for the end of spring, summer, and they will last until the snow starts flying. They are durable. I've washed them numerous times. We will definitely buy them again! They are true to size, maybe a tiny bit big but not worth ordering a smaller size. Sturdy but comfortable. My youngest has both Keens and these. He always complains of leg cramps by the end of the day when he wears his keens but never when he wears these. The shoes were nice and stylish but the fit for my 11 year old was TOO narrow! I even bought a half size bigger, just in case, and had to send them back.
