My son was really excited to get these boots. He is small for his age and needed a toddler size 10 and no local stores carried sizes that small. I don't usually buy shoes online but took a chance so he could have some real protection while hiking. They are really boots in a toddler size not toddler shoes that look like boots. My son recently walked about 2 1/2 miles of a trail, even had fun climbing some rocks and had no problems, he said they were comfortable. I'm pleased with them, something to keep in mind is that they are a little heavy for little feet, but we are happy to have the foot protection and ankle support they offer while out hiking. Very happy with this purchase.
