My daughter wears a 7.5W in Stride Rite shoes and so I followed the advice of others and ordered a half size down. They are still a little long, but the strap keeps them in place. They aren't as wide as most Stride Rite shoes (I have found most JJ brand shoes aren't as wide as SR), but these had plenty of give. She put them on and wore them around the house for awhile without complaining or any marks on her feet from being too tight.Once they were a little worn , I let her wear them to school/play. The bow material under the glitter is navy under the navy glitter and wore well. Unless you are looking, you'd think they were new. The white under the gold ones show the white through the worn glitter. With all her other shoes, these are her go to shoe. She loved these shoes. They were still comfortable enough to play in all day. She finally complained about them being tight on her toe. A sad day for both of us! After 6 months of wear, I bought a couple more pair. The first pair way too big. but did amazon return, so easy! Just repacked them with a new label, took it to nearest drop box while the next size was already on it's way. Once we found the right size I still had to tweek the shoe using dollar store foam inserts at the toe and heel grippers at the back. I was satisfied because this way I feel she can get longer wear from the shoe before outgrowing it.I thought the color was true to the picture. And the shoe itself is flexible and comfortable. My daughter wore the shoes all day with no blisters or other complaints.I wanted these shoes to be perfect! When I opened them I was thrilled! They are beautiful! But after we wore 1 time the glitter wore off the toes and after 1 wearing they looked as if they had been wore for years. My daughter is not hard on her things and only had them on for a couple of hours. They are beautiful I just wish they stayed that way!Needed a pair of dress shoes for my grandaughter to wear with her dresses. This is the perfect brand for girls with narrow feet, such as my grandaughter. She liked the idea that you can make the shoe look like a flat, when you move the strap in the back of the heel. I like the fact that I found a shoe that fits well, and doesn't slip ooff her foot when she is walking. My 8 year old wore these for her Elsa Halloween costume. It's challenging finding ballerina-style shoes that will stay on her foot. She has a normal foot, but always seems to walk right out of them. She had no problem with these, AND was able to wear them with a thin sock all Halloween afternoon and into the evening with no complaints about comfort.I bought these for my 5-1/2 year old daughter to wear with her flower girl dress at our wedding on 6/28/14. She wore them 3 times inside at home in the 2 weeks before the wedding to make sure they were comfortable, and then the day of the wedding. The glitter bow fell off one of the shoes the day of the wedding so she had only one bow. We were unable to find the bow and she was very sad. The rest of the shoes are in near new condition because they were only worn so little but the bow came off. I was outside of my "return/exchange window" of 30 days (bought them in March, didn't even wear them until end of June), so there was nothing I could do. For the price and the manufacturer, I expected better quality and craftsmanship from the manufacturer, or at least a better exchange policy so I could have had a pair after the wedding that she could have worn again.I suggest ordering a .5 size smaller than normal.I wish I would have read the reviews more closely before purchasing. It appears to fit at first but my child cannot walk in them without her heel slipping out. She is a 8.5 right now and I should have ordered an 8.Fast shipping. Unfortunately. The shoes were to large and there was not enough time to exchange. The shoes were bought to match my daughters dress for her christmas piano recital. We had to go purchase a pair locally and will be returning these tomorrow. Although, they are very pretty.
