I've bought plenty of kid's shoes in my lifetime. Always insisted on quality & style. ALWAYS paid top dollar. I've spent as much as $120 for a pair of kids shoes if I loved the style & construction. No price was too high. Now I'm buying kids shoes for a granddaughter in an era of a tighter budget than I once had. I must pay more attention to price without compromising on construction & style. While I prefer Primigi, Leli Kelly and some of the other imported brands, upwards of $70 is now a stretch. I've still done it though. Decided to see if I could wrap my taste around a less pricey brand. I decided to do my own personal test market. For $40, I found these Jumping Jacks on Amazon. I chose them because they looked alot like Primigi's but for about 1/2 the price. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I bought them in the very cool looking deep purple from the choices of brown, black or purple,( although I cannot recall exactly what they called this color choice). Absolutely stunning, unique and well constructed girl's shoe. Love the traditional leather Mary Jane style so similar to Primigi & Leli Kelly. It's a winner at $40!!! The deep purple goes so well with her kindergarten uniform. The soles are rugged & well treaded with great arch support. Safe, stylish with unique details in their embellishment, but not over done. No compromise for price here that's for sure. They are every bit as good as the brands that are an inch away from $100 for only $40. Rec'd them in 2 days in time for 1st day of school. I was even skeptical enough to send her with a spare pair of shoes in her book bag in case they hurt during the day. Got a note from her teacher whose also a mom: "Where did you buy her shoes?" Jumping Jacks - my new brand!! Highly recomment. Sincerely, Shoe Queen Gramma :) :)My daughter is 5, size 9. She is alittle narrow, but not so that she has to have narrows, but we have to watchout for wide shoes in the ankle area. These shoes are a nice fit in the heel, ankle area, which is always our concern for her in particluar. The color is great, alittle shimmer. Reinforced toe for wear and tear. She loved them. The are church shoes, and play shoes all in one. I will be buying Jumping Jacks again! Great quality, maybe even better than our usual stride rite, and great price...these were 45-50.00. These will last all cold weather season, very pleased. This is a great looking casual shoe. My daughter loves it. It has great rubber sole and the tip of the toe has withstood some pretty active play dates. My only concern is that the flower on the velcro will eventually fall off, but it's a great shoe she will rock with or without said flower.Update: The flower, as expected, did fall off. My daughter loves them anyway and wants another pair now that these are a little snug.Very cute shoes and well made. I ordered these for my grand daughter because she has very narrow feet. These seemed to be larger than the size stated and not any narrower than her regular shoes. I sent them back.My daughter immediately put this shoes and wore them without any trouble as they're comfortable. They look fine with her school uniform, which was essential. The only drawback is that they're really not pretty, which disappointed her as she saw lots of other shoes online that she would have preferred if only they'd been more comfortable.I am getting frustrated with buying shoes online. This pair had a crunch, crumple above the toe piece when we got them. I choose to keep them thinking that it would fall out after wear and was just from shipping, you can kind of see it in the picture. They were cute enough, had a great bottom, excellent rubber toe. However, less than a month later, and having worn them to school about 3 weeks, even less, as she has others that she wears too and for specific weather situations... these are falling apart. Rather than the wrinkle coming out, it wrinkled more and in the other shoe too, and the rubber toes are pulling away from the shoe as if they were 6 months to a year old, you know, like old washed sneakers. The glue must be defective. The size was perfect the quality extremely poor. All leather was nice too, but still extremely inferior. Love the Amazon return policy, but as for purchasing shoes online, been there done that and had enough! These are somewhat big on my granddaughter but she is growing so fast I decided to go ahead and keep them for her. By the time Spring or early Summer gets here they will fit as she is growing like a big weed. She can't wait to wear them. I think she takes after me and will be shoe horse. hahaThese shoes are great. Leather and in a practical and respectable style. I wish more companies would follow this example. The narrow width was an added bonus.
