My kindergartener was coming home daily with scuffs on her leather school shoes. I decided to buy her these because of the suede material and the protective texture around the toes. I love the style and the fact that it's by Timberland. The shoe fits true to size however a HUGE flaw is that the straps aren't removable nor are they adjustable with Velcro, etc.! It is a pain to put on in the morning without a shoehorn as I have to keep coaching my daughter on how to insert her foot properly and slowly while I keep adjusting the strap to move over the top of her foot. Major design flaw and I don't see why Timberland couldn't just add a piece of Velcro to make the shoe easier to put on.
