My Child attends Catholic School, so we purchased these for him to go with his uniform. WE LOVE THEM!! They are all black, no marring, and no contrasting logos or thread. Since they ARE New Balance, he does not need separate shoes for gym class. We like them because it is hard to find a good brand of solid shoes for school. I am glad that he had these because I don't have to worry about him playing at recess in dress shoes. You can also find them in wide and double wide.My granddaughter hates trying on clothes & Shoes and would choose the first pair she tried on, even if they didn't fit, so I did a blind-fit-test. I bought three pairs of shoes in her size, blindfolded her and had her walk, jump, and leap while holding my hand. These were the winning pair based on comfort and stability. That said, if they came in a couple solid colors, besides black or white, it would be great. Her favorite color is teal, but a medium grey or tan might be nice.looked everywhere online for just a plain white pair of velcro shoes.. Have a Down Syndrome son, this is the only kind of shoe he can put on his self.. trying to find a pair thats without all those colors is so near impossible, especially in his size. These are great, fit great , look great, and so far holding up great. He's a little rought on shoes. Sure hope they are around when he needs the next size.My kids have had 3 pairs of these each year from kindy through to year 1 and I'll keep buying them each year. They're well made and the removeable innersole is great to remove sand when they used to go to the school park each day. Now one daughter has orthotics I can remove the innersole and put the orthortics in and replace the innersole over the top for more cushioning.Bought this for my six year old, so far so good. No laces is great. Seems to be durable, he uses it for tennis and other sports at school. Only thing is it gets dirty too fast being white and all.I bought this shoe for my daughter, who has special needs as far as running and jumping is concerned. She loves these shoes for exercise and has to wear them in all black or all white for school (which is hard to find in other tennis shoes). They fit her well, are light, and are very "cushiony". I always buy this shoe, each 1/2 size, as she grows. These shoes are good for winter, true to size. Second pair we've bought. Seem to be wearing well. Outgrew the last pair before they wore out.My 6 year old has had these for his entire kindergarten year and they are still in great condition. He's out grown the size but the shoe has been comfortable on him and has lasted throughout the year. Will purchase again for 1st grade.
