These shoes are for a very narrow foot, and my daughters don't have chubby or wide feet. These shoes are frustrating because I actually started with a pair for myself. I normally wear a 6-6.5 in women's shoes. I have a pair of DC skate shoes and they are a 4.5Y size and fit perfect. Based on so many reviews stating how these run 1-2 sizes small, I decided to order a 6Y. When I got them, they were HUGE! Way to long for my foot. So I had to return them and the size I probably needed in the color I wanted is now no longer available on Amazon. Because of that experience, I decided to split the difference between my experience and that of others running too small when ordering for my girls. So I bought the size that they are currently wearing, thinking they would be a little larger. This was not the case. They were both too small and definitely too narrow. I really like the look of these shoes, however, so I'm going to try one more time by exchanging for a larger size. We'll see if it works. My son normally wears a size 11, I ordeee him a 12 in these shoes so he could grow into them. They seem to run a little small and they fit perfectly now which is fine for us but I would guess normally people would want to order up a sizeMy 8 year old was dying to get a pair of "skate board" shoes. We decided on these. He loves the way that they look and they are made of a decent quality. Unfortunately the are narrow and run small. My son would normally wear a size 2 shoe, so we ordered a 3 in these. Even though we ordered a size 3, they are a little snug in the length and quite snug in the width. He does not have wide feet either. He is disappointed because he can't wear them for very long without them hurting. After reading the reviews, I got a size larger than my son wears. They fit perfectly! He loves the way they look and feel. They are narrow and my son has a wide foot, but going the size up helped a lot. Very good color and the blue was very bright!my son will tear up a shoe within a few months, breaking heels, ripping laces or blowing out the toe while riding his bike and using his shoe for a break. these shoes are still in one piece holding up nicely.Very nice looking pair of shoes. Extremely well made for the price. They do run a little small though. I bought these for my son. Unfortunately he will not be able to use them for too long. These are good, sturdy all-purpose sneakers. They were super stiff new (which is typical), so my daughter didn't like wearing them at first and they gave her tiny blisters on her heels. But after a few wears, they loosened up and she can wear them no problem now. They're showing a little wear already, but they don't appear to be almost ready to fall apart like most kid's shoes.Looks great but son said it is tight around his toe area. Have to give to someone else.
