My child wears these every day at Montessori school. I needed something with a good sole but also soft and comfy. I think these were the perfect answer. After 4 months of him wearing them Monday thru Friday, they do have some wear and tear on the bottom because the bottom has a nice soft material that covers the sturdy harder sole of the shoe. This material has frayed a bit and doesn't look as nice as it used to. For that, after 4 months of use, I give this shoe 4 instead of 5 stars. But the fabric on the top of the slipper, the blue part, still looks great! It's kind of a corduroy fabric and it looks just as good as day one. You would think it would have worn down, but it hasn't. It's just the tan fabric on the bottom of the shoe that is fraying. So the bottom doesn't look great, but overall I like this slipper for every day use at school.This is my first time purchasing Foamtreads and it was online so a lot of what I feel about these are based on how much this shoe did not meet my expectation. First, my opinion is that a slipper is soft and has a soft lining, with a good non-slip sole.These are sturdy shoes and are not soft at all. There is no soft lining so socks really need to be worn with them. The fashion of it is a slipper - the cloth design of it looks like a slipper, but it is too stiff. Secondly, the thick sole provides great support but it is not the kind of sole my child is used to and it's hard for them to walk in them (they are 2). So if your child is used to a certain kind of sole keep in mind these soles are very thick and high, like a member of KISS shoe.I think this is a very well made, sturdy shoe. I would consider buying this brand for other shoes, but not this particular "slipper" model. It is probably mis-named and should be called a "slip on" shoe.We purchased these shoes for our son's Montessori classroom and are on our third or fourth pair. The most recent order didn't seem to hold up as well as previous orders so I hope the quality isn't slipping (the reason for docking a star). But my son is getting older so perhaps he is just getting more wear out of the shoes. My only complaint is they can be hard to find, even online, and are nearly impossible to find in larger kids sizes above a size 11 or 12.These are very sturdy slippers, and appear to be very well made. My daughter loved them. However, she wears size 4 shoes, so I bought this slipper in size 5 thinking it would be big enough. She only has maybe 1/4 inch between her toes and the end of the slipper.I am returning these, but will order a larger size. They seem so well made that we might get a couple years of use out of them!I like them, only they are a little hard to put on when a child tries..I wish they had a little tongue (thing) in the back where you can grip it and slide on the shoe better. Also they do run a little small, and also are quite heavy for a slipper....they are slippers right? ;'PSlippers are definitely what I expected. Based on other reviews, I order one size bigger and they fit my son perfectly. He can walk in them with no problems, and I love that they don't collect hair. With multiple dogs, his other slippers looked like furry shooters, even though they weren't. Great skipper, great for him to walk in and use. Highly recommend, just order at least one size larger.These are slippers, arch support was not expected. These slippers fit my wide footed daughter beautifully. She loves them, the only thing I would recommend it a little fuzzy, fur, or wool on the walls of the slipper to give some extra insulation, her feet are often cold when she comes out of them at bed time.Had a pair that lasted 5 months earlier this year. Our most recent pair arrived 9/8 and the soles have separated from the shoe at the toe 5 weeks later. They're hit or miss it seems with quality. But for the price we're buying them yet again and fingers crossed they hold up for more than 5 weeks.
