The boots are super cute and our son loved them! I can now say, after purchasing them a while back, that they do not wear well at all! After only 1 1/2- 2 months, the toe area, the buckle/strap and the areas around the eyelets started to fray and look rather shabby...not sure what % is made up of leather, but I'm pretty sure that real leather would NOT do that at all! It all worked out however bc the boots quickly became our son's "go to" boot for playtime with his army and marine costumes and for playing war with his buddies! For this purpose, they were perfect and so all I did was go purchase another casual/slightly dressy shoe for his wardrobe. Recently, I was in our nearby Nordstrom and saw the Timberland boot. They look very well made, also leather and feel super sturdy! The sales guy was even wearing a pair in the beige and said that he had already had that pair for almost a year! This will definitely be our next purchase, I only wish they came in the camouflage as or son has now outgrown his "play boots"!I bought these boots for myself because I needed something for the crazy New York City weather. These fit the bill. They're rugged and not too bulky. I usually wear a size 4.5 kids/6.5 womens and they'd fit snug (size 5 kids is too big for me), so I figured I'd buy these in the same size so they'd fit with thick socks. They keep my feet pretty warm and dry, and I'm able to zig zag around in the city when other people are slipping in the slushy weather (I walk fast, I can't help it :p). They come up about a third of my calf (I'm 5'2") which is nice. Since they're still new they're probably a little stiff but they're a little uncomfortable around my calf.They are perfect look just like the pictures shown. I bought the camo ones because they were cheaper and painted that part with vynl/ fabric paint that is why there is a whole black one in the picture. But overall this product is amazing the quality of the show in general is so good. Also true to size my son is 3 years old a size 8 in toddler and it fits perfectlyThey fit a little big, but that's okay for me because I bought them for work. I work outside, so in the winter I can put thicker socks in them and have room. I bought them because the last pair of boots I had were not waterproof and my feet were wet by the end of my shift.These boots are much better.I ordered this product November 2016. I do not like leaving comments because there is no way to tell how great something is until you've had it for a while. I am an avid Polo boots buyer for my now 9 year old son. I typically purchase boots from Ralph Lauren (directly online) but took a gamble (because of my Amazon account and credit card). I am very skeptical of getting fake products as I am not one to notice small details to determine authenticity. My son wore this shoes a few times (we live in South Carolina and it rarely gets warm enough to put on boots) and the shoe is coming apart. I do not return products often so I am unaware of said policies governing returns when they do not come from AMAZON. This shoe is falling apart, therefore it is defective and the company states there is nothing I can do about it because it is beyond 30 days. I am pending to see what Amazon is going to do because shoes should not fall apart with little to no wear. I urge you to read the fine prints. I am extremely upset as I have an 80 dollar pair of defective shoes that the company is not willing to standby and rectify.I love these shoes! I would recommend. They fit just as I thought, are comfortable, and have lasted a long time and still look pretty good for as much as I wear them especially in the winter time. The only thing is that the laces wear out out after some time but I wear them so much that it's expected. Great buy, worth it. Buy you a pair!This is the second pair of Polo boots that I have purchased for my 4 year old son. He LOVES them & they are perfect for our super cold Illinois winters. My entire family has this brand of boot. I've had mine for 6 years & just purchased a pair for my hubby this Christmas. I have no doubt that the previous pair of boots would have lasted my son for a few more winters however, he won't stop growing : ]I was nervous about purchasing these online, but they were exactly as described. My son adored them (as well as my husband). This was the name brand and not a knock off, also they were a little larger than expected but gave my son the room he needed.
