I wore these shoes when I was a kid and just wanted an easy pair of slip-ons. I'm women's size 7-8 (depending on the shoe brand and whether I want a looser fit) and I got the 5.5 which worked great. They slip on easily and have a little room in the toes but stay on well. These are sturdy shoes. My only complaint is that the sole support isn't the best so after walking around a bit my feet start to hurt. I might add a shoe insert and then these will be perfect!
