After several failed attempts at finding a pair of shoes my 5 yr old would wear, these finally fit the bill. They seem well constructed so I think they'll last until she outgrows them. They are very versitile and go well with dressy and casual outfits. She says they feel like she's not wearing shoes at all and that's saying a lot as she's very particular. She measures a solid 12 wide, and the 11.5 in this shoe fits well with room to grow, so I'd say they run a full size big.
