These are great for the river w/ rocks or the rough concrete pool and sandy beach. Fit is perfect and my son is excited to have water shoes he can run in because of the hard sole.Bought these for my son to wear at an indoor water park. They held up other than he broke the string that pulls the foot opening tighter. I was not there when he did it, so it could be a case of a kid being, well a kid. The second day my daughter wore these to the beach the sole separated from the shoe and the nylon material on top ripped, exposing her toes. Such a disappointment.
