My 9 year old son really liked these shoes when he was playing in the river and paddle boarding. He said they were comfortable and protected his feet from rocks in the water. The only negative thing was that it took a long time to dry the shoes after they got wet, but other than that we really liked them!These water shoes are sturdy in and out of water.My granddaughter is 5 1/2 they were perfect for her.
