I'm an adult with small feet and can rarely find adult shoes in my size. It can be really frustrating to find shoes that fit while not looking childish. Casual styles are easier to find - I have numerous kids Converse, Tom's, and boat shoes that look pretty much like the adult versions - but with preppy/formal styles it's next to impossible. I've wanted some cute penny loafers for awhile now so decided to try these out. I already have a pair of kids Sperrys in 3 so ordered the same size and they fit perfectly! They are a little stiff at first but that's to be expected either leather after wearing them for a few days they are breaking in nicely. The best part is no one cam tell I'm wearing kids shoes! The con (for me) is that their not exactly feminine - many womens loafers have a narrower toe, some embellishments, etc. But this doesnt bother me much as they are boys shoes. These appear and feel well made and I trust the Sperry Brand! I have a feeling I'll have these for many years.Fits fine. The upper material is very hard. Stiting is to close to the edge in some places. Given what I paid for them, I don’t expect any long time use for my 8 year old.I bought these shoes for my daughter who has wide feet. So few shoes come in a wide size, and even fewer are gender-neutral. This style of shoes is timeless. They looked great on girls and boys for decades now. I'm not someone who wants to buy a lot of different kinds of shoes for kids who may only wear them for 3-12 months. That's part of what I love about these. You could pair them with a dress or with jeans, and they'd look appropriate with either. My little girl now has Penny loafers, sneakers, and cowboy boots and I figure that's all she needs. I bought the burgundy and I am very pleased. I got a size 4w for a girl who fits into 3w, and they're a tad big, but not so big she can't walk in them, just big enough I know they'll last the winter. She loves them, says they're very comfortable. Recommended!I love these shoes. My boys have narrow feet and we usually don't have problem with regular size shoes unless they are dress shoes or slip ons. I always order the narrow. I found these 3 or 4 years ago for my oldest and have buying them ever since. The awesome thing about them is they are so nice and sturdy that when they are handed down to my 2nd boy they still look brand new. They are shiny leather that looks really nice, yet are comfortable for my boys to wear. The older my boys get the harder they are on shoes, yet these still look great. I think I currently have 4-5 pairs of these shoes in a variety of sizes. Even though I order the narrow for my older son, my younger son who doesn't have as narrow feet still can wear the hand me downs. I think the leather does give a little, making for a comfortable snug fit.Great mid-school year replacement for uniform shoes.Generally it's a good idea to try on the shoe brand/model selected at a local store ...if you can find a similar shoe... and gauge the size accordingly. If you can't you may be disappointed at the fit.Update 12.31.19: Unfortunately, these shoes failed irreparably where the leather upper meets the sole at the ball of the foot. Full disclosure, my boy used them everyday at school and they were spared no school yard indignities... Also boys feet do grow and this couldn’t have helped with the wear and tear however I have had other brands that seem to do better even with the growing foot...I ordered two (2) pairs of the Sperry and when they arrived, I received one pair of Sperry and one Florsheim pair. ??? Sperry are a true fit and the Florsheim run small. Why did I NOT get Sperry?Excelentes! A mis hijos les quedaron muy bien. Now my kids wear them to school. These shoes get more comfortable the more you break them in. They tend to stretch over time both in wide and around the toe box. Nothing bad to say. They wear them until the wear out and then immediately buy another pair. Been buying these for 5 years now and will continue until kids outgrow this youth size shoe. I've bought other brands of penny loafers but none have the lasting quality of these Sperry ones.
