We liked this shoe and needed wide size. Unfortunately, the front top of the shoe comes away from the rubber band around the bottom. Then small stones get into the shoe. We had to "superglue" them twice! He is five and very active. I think they could make some modification to this shoe to prevent this, keeping in mind boys will be wearing them!UPDATE: Thought these were great quality, but after only a few weeks they are wearing out. The area around the ankles is getting pretty big holes and not sure why. My daughter has been wearing shorts, so it's not from pants rubbing on them. It really makes no sense and I'm so disappointed. Going back to asics, I guess.My daughter loves these shoes. They're so cute and great quality. They do run small though. My daughter is between a 12.5-13 usually. I bought the 13.5 thinking she could grow into them, but her toes aren't even 1/2" from the end. They probably won't last until spring, since she can't wear them in the snow! Overall they're great shoes. I would order at LEAST 1/2 size bigger though.Cute shoes & vibrant colors. I'd wear them if they came in my size. My daughter likes them overall but she did say her previous New Balances were more comfortable. It's hard to buy shoes online and we are happy with these overall.Daughter loves these! I bought them a lot too big, but she loves them so much, I can't keep her from wearing them. So I bought another, smaller pair, both within a few months of each other, and both pairs, tore easily. They're really good looking, and fit well, but they rip easily, and quickly. Too pricey for the short life span of the product.My son wears out sneakers so quickly, but these seem to live up to his needs. They are orthotic friendly (the inner sole removes easily) but also offer a nice arch and all around support. They look great on.My son loves this bright yellow in all of his clothes and shoes. I like that these have the yellow at the top and not where he usually gets them dirty. His last pair of shoes had the bright yellow on the toes and they immediately looked dirty. These are holding their shape and look after 2 months of everyday wear on an active 6 year old.I bought these shoes for my son and honestly he is quite rough on shoes so I was not sure what to expect when I purchased them online! He has been wearing them for about 2 months and they still look almost brand new! Will purchase another pair when these are worn out! They are also true to size!I am very disappointed with this pair of sneakers. We bought them for our son to only use indoors as he pronates & requires support for his feet always. After his 3rd time wearing them the sole is separating. Very disappointing. That said, yes, they fit as expected.
