These shoes are beautiful and very comfortable, but please be careful if you have a child with long narrow feet. I have two daughters, one with narrow long feet and one with shorter wider feet (not exceptionally wide, just regular wide-ish 6 year old feet). I got a pair for each daughter. For my narrow footed daughter, these were a no go. Tons of floating empty space in the front (much like other reviews about narrow feet). For my older daughter, these were perfect although the we had to size down. She adores them and wears hem whenever she can. We live in South Florida so they are like sneaker sandals, airy but protect the toes and feet. They dry fast, rinse under water, and quite frankly are the prettiest shoes I could find on here! They have an elegant profile and high quality details. I love them so much that I got the size 6 for myself! I usually wear a size 7, so size down :)Daughter has very narrow feet and I have trouble finding her shoes that fit correctly and yet still offer support for the summer. Crocs do not fit her and most flip flops are too wide. This shoe protects their toes but yet still able to wear in water at the local splash-pads to prevent slipping. For sure the most versatile summer shoe she owns. Highly recommend-especially with Merrell quality. I wish they came in my size.These were so cute, and I almost kept them, but the keens were a little more comfortable on my feet. I'm a women's size 7, and the 5 fit very comfortably. I think I would have been totally fine hiking and walking around in these sandals.I will give 4 stars as these well made and I like them.I am a petite woman who often gets a better fit in youth size footwear. I had to return them however, because I have a bunion and the straps ran right over the bunion. I purchased them for a cruise so it was not worth risking it. Merrell does make great quality footwear. I really wanted to love them, but had to return them.My daughter wore these in Mexico on our last adventure.I said in an other review of my sons shoes, that we walked a total of 11.5 miles in a day!We walked through torrential rains in the rain forest, (Campeche) up and down Mayan Pyramids,(Pyramid of the Magician)Mexican Cenotes, (San Ignacio)And thoughout the town.She not only never complained once about her feet, she also still wears them everyday. Even to school. They are perfect for water or just walking around.They are super light weight, but sturdy!!!We love these shoes!!I like these shoes, they’re just what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the sole is not as flexible as I had hoped. For the price these shoes are great.We do bike touring and my little one has a hard time getting her feet into keens (not enough stretch). I was worried about the comments of the interior being scratchy- but took a chance. My LO loves them and wears them barefoot and with socks. They are fashionable and practical and good for in the water. We also needed a sturdy shoe she could pedal in and adventure in and have her feet supported- while they are comfortable they do not seem to be as rugged as we would have liked.I've edited this review after hearing that they are starting to come apart after just 4 days of adventuring.My little girl wears a size 10 so I ordered up one size thinking they would get her through the summer. Her toe is very close to the end but I think we'll make it at least a couple of months. She loves the color of theses shoes and says they are very comfortable so I guess that's all that really matters.Very comfortable sandal, my daugher loves it because it doesn't sweat her legs. Also good for water plays and her toes are protected. Sizing is on a little bit the large size, if you are between two sizes, go down.Great shoes for summer while meeting the daycare requirements for covered/closed toe shoes!Daughter bought them for her daughter and likes them.
