Youth shoes in the upper sizes are still built on a women's shoe model for depth. This can cause a problem when a 12, 13, or 14 year old goes to buy the shoes. My 13 year old needed a men's shoe (hard to find in small sizes) as opposed to a Youth shoe because his foot had already started to develop into a man's depth (thicker foot at the arch). So no matter how wide you keep buying the youth shoe the child keeps feeling the shoe is too narrow when really the shoe is too SHALLOW. Important to keep in mind and I hope this helps you as I did not know this information until I had tried over 4 pairs of shoes for my son. He ended up with a men's size 6 shoe.Frustrated! This is the second pair of Saucony that the Velcro has totally come off! My son started wearing these on the first day of school (August 16) and already the Velcro has torn off the strap. I tried to glue it back on but it's come off already. And the Velcro is not adhering to the loop closure. Super frustrating! The rest of the shoe and the other shoe - no issues. But you'd think that with a little boy's shoe the Velcro would hold.My son's shoe size is 4.5M (big kid) and I order 4.5W (wide) and it fitted him perfectly. So I guess it should be small if I ordered 4.5M. Be aware.Otherwise, he likes it. He used to have the same ones before and it lasts a few months. He does not want to tie the laces so this kind of shoes is his favorite. Saucony is a few of branches offering this big kid size (and wide W) with this style (no laces). Thank you.My son liked the shoes except for the velcro strap. I guess once you reach a certain age, velcro is just not cool. He has a wide foot and has trouble finding shoes that fit. These fit well, looked nice and were comfortable. I returned the shoes but, only because of the velcro strap which was a deal breaker for him. Otherwise, they fit a wide foot and the colors are true to the picture. I've been very happy with Saucony shoes and would have kept them.My daughter is a total sports "Gill" so she is kinda rough on clothing. These have done just fine and have held up. I was nervous after reading some negative reviews but our experience is positive. These fit really well as expected too and are quite durable. They offer stability support as well. My daughter "RUNS" everywhere she goes. These shoes are a good find and fit for her! The look great too! These lasted about 2.5 months before the black of the soles started to peel off. The Velcro strap has been fine. I give a three because (2.5 isn't an option) my 4yo son wore them 9hr a day, 4 days a week, and is very active. We had saucony before this pr and just bought another pr, it's not the brand, it's this shoe that is bad. These were really nice sneakers in that they are very attractive and they did fit my son's wide foot. The problem was the velcro closure on top. It was not long enough and he said it hurt too much (I could barely close it and had to really pull to close them). So we are returning them and getting another pair of new balance wide shoes.Nice looking shoe, but they run quite small. I bought a pair for my grandson and when he put them on they were a lot smaller than his other shoes. By the time I found this out it was past the 30 day return policy. Make sure to order up a couple sizes to insure proper fit.Soles peeled off after less than two months of exclusive indoor school use. Aweful customer service made us jump through an unacceptable amounts of hoops and no conclusion, solution or replacement was delivered. Don’t waste your time and money on this. Can never go wrong with Saucony and the price was right. Great shoes fit as they should and the wide width is perfect. The price was good, the shoes arrived exactly pictured. The shipping was super quick, and very well packaged. Thanks so much!Très confortables, ma fille de 6 ans les adorentBought as school shoes and after just a few months the velcro has gone- very disappointing- I expected more from Saucony. Same thing happened to a second pair I bought as well.
