After being outside in the snow playing for an hour both my children had soaking feet, these are not waterproof and cheaply made. I would not recommend these. They do fit correctly according to the size chart.I got these boots for my son to wear on the rare snow days we get around here. Since we don't get a lot of snow, these worked perfect for him. They are easy to slip on, comfortable and warm. He was trying to wear them on rainy days after as snow melted and I did notice that with a lot of slush and puddles they did eventually soak through (and my son is a kid who cannot resist jumping into a puddle) so if you're looking for something for wetter areas it might not be the best option.I have mixed emotions about these snow boots. For the price point, the quality is good. However, the quality is definitely not as good as some higher end name brand options. At full price, the higher end name brand options for kids snow boots tend to run in the $50-$100 range, so if you are comparing these with full priced options, these could be seen as a good value option. However, like with virtually all winter sports gear, there are a variety of ways to get items late in the season or from the prior season steeply discounted. When you are able to do that, you can find a lot of very high quality snow boots for around the same price as these and sometimes less. So if you are a decent bargain shopper, these are no longer a great bargain option, since you can get better items for a similar price.The quality of these boots is decent, but not on par with high end options. So if you need to shop early or mid-season and can't find something better at a steeply discounted price or you are last minute shopping and need something to arrive very quickly, these are pretty good quality for the price point. However, I am the type who will shop for winter gear for my kids in the off-season when I can get high quality brand name products at steeply discounted prices. From that standpoint, these aren't a great option.These snow boots fit true to size. There was enough wiggle room in the toe area that my son could likely wear thick socks with these. I’m curious how the traction will be in the snow, but overall they fit well and have a cute design.My daughter loves these and wears them even when it is not snowing. They are very lightweight and comfortable and they keep her feet warm in these cold months. They worked great in the snow as well. Very happy.These are well made and warm. They run a half size small though. Good overall value.
