My son loves his Heelys, and as other customers have mentioned, I did order a size up, and that worked out perfectly. My son is actually between a 2 and a 3, and I ordered the 4. So I guess you could say I ordered a size and a half up.The shoes look sharp and are comfortable on my son. The black and royal blue is attractive. And as far as the included wheels, they are great, built to withstand a beating, and my son is getting the hang of using them.My only issue with these shoes is the quality of the material. The black is already scuffed after one use, and it is as if the black is a thin layer of velveteen that got scraped right off. These are not the type of shoes that are going to be worn to a recital or to church. These are skate shoes that are going to get bumped and scuffed. I would not expect them to remain looking brand new for long, but I would have hoped that a pair of athletic skate shoes were more durable than to be covered in basically a thin velveteen type material. My son is still enjoying his shoes, and they do offer support and are comfortable for him to walk in when he chooses to remove the wheels and use them as regular tennis shoes. Removing and inserting the wheels is simple.Overall, I am pretty pleased with the comfort and support these shoes offer as well as the sturdy wheels.I paid full price for this item. All opinions are my own.personally i don't like them...they look like orthopedic shoes...but my kids likes them and he actually learned pretty quick in how to use them. at first i was worry that he would brake his head or back....i had to find a video online in how to use these shoes...after holding my 9 year old by the hand and help him to get used to the shoes with the wheels on ...he was able to heel by himself and he is doing pretty good now...but it took some practice and follow the instructions on the video. The shoes come with instructions on paper but that's not enough...if you really like you kid and you allow him/her to use these type of shoes then you have to help them learn on how to use them. The wheel snaps in place pretty fast and it can be taken off pretty fast also...for the quality and materials...no compliants....i bought the shoes half size bigger since kids grow pretty fast...i give it 4 stars because the instructions need more pictures or a link to a video online...This is a great shoe for kids who love roller blading, skating, skate boarding, and the bonus is you can even wear them in the malls!! Disclaimer: Your kids will gets A LOT of attention, at first glance it appears they are floating around. Although Hellys have been around for quite some time, they're still a novelty, and not a lot of kids have them. I recommend that your kids should be comfortable on skates (or some sort of wheels) before buying them a pair of these, otherwise they can be a little tough to get used to. But once they get it, it's smooth sailing. They are very comfortable and the wheels pop right out if they want to convert them to regular running shoes. They arrived quickly and packaged well. Fits as expected, but I recommend going up a size so they can grow into them and get more use out of them. Even a little big, they don't fall off if you tighten the laces well because of the great quality of the shoe.We originally ordered the usual size our daugther uses, but we had to change it for half a size bigger. The half a size bigger was just the perfect fit. If you're looking for your child to use this for a long time, I'll suggest one full size more. But before you decide on that, check all the reviews. Because from what we were able to see, the fit depends on the model. It is almost guaranteed that you're going to have to send them back at least once, if you're a new user.I'm thirteen, and got exactly what the chart on the Heelys website provided. I'm a shoe-size seven; and the chart said to then get a size five in Heelys, and that was the case. They were too small. An inch in practicality, but still, too small. I'm going to get another size up soon, now- and there's no telling if that'll even be big enough.Either way, Heelys is a great, and fun product. The only bad thing is the damned small size.Shoes are comfortable but a bit small, so ordered 2 sizes and prefer the larger one. Would suggest going a size up. Shoes are not sturdy however. I purchased them to wear to work as I prefer the skate style shoes as far as comfort goes. I've had D.C. brand shoes that last at least a year with a job being on my feet 8 hrs a day, but these just don't hold up. Would be fine for casual wear though. I would consider purchasing again just not as something I'd wear everyday or for work. Probably not bad for kids that are still growing as they'd probably grow out of them before the shoe starts breaking down but I couldn't say for sure. The shoe itself is fine - but the size way out. Our daughter wears size 13 (with a fair bit of room left), so we bought her size 1 to last longer. But the shoe was far too small, she could barely squeeze her foot in. Lots of tears, especially given she bought the shoes with her own money. And it was a long wait to get them as we don't live in the US.We ended up buying size 3 after that. They've got plenty of growing room but she can wear them fine.I should add we frequently buy shoes on Amazon and have never had sizing issues before. This is a first. I'd read others' reviews on Heelys' small sizing but dismissed them after seeing that most people reported the as true to size. In our experience, they are far from that.My son comfortably wears a size 6, but these wouldn't fit him. I bought 2 of my other kids Heelys also and those were fine in their regular shoe size, so I don't know what was up with these. Also, the wheels that came with these were too wide for the shoe. There was no way they were going in there. We got a different size for my son and it's all good. We LOVE Heelys. Takes a bit of practice to master, but once they do, you won't be catching up!Excellent product, Arrived way sooner than expected!very niceMost popular Christmas present this year - fit anfnwork great.
