really beautifulReceived these not too long ago, wanted a cute pair of Mary Janes for my toddler, but not the typical dress shoe. They are very cute and just as pictured. I have not had a bad experience as of yet with them falling apart as other reviews have, but again, I just received these and they have only been worn 2 times. They did come with both inserts and so I can see that they would be easily removable, but I also didn't have a problem with them coming out of the shoe when she wore them. My daughter is a stride rite 7.5-8, so I bought a 24 in these, and they are perfect. My daughter also has the chubby toddler foot, so it is not particularly narrow and these also work for her feet. The strap does not tighten a whole lot, which works for me, but may not for a narrow foot. My daughter was able to wear them all day, and without complaint, so I am satisfied. We have bought four pairs of pediped's Giselle shoes in various sizes (grip n go, flex) because my daughter loves the polka dot design. The shoes get many compliments, seem comfortable, and hold up well. However, the last two pair that we have bought have been from the Flex line and they both have a distinctive, stinky chemical-type odor. When we received our first stinky pair last year, I complained and the company offered me a small discount off my next purchase. Unfortunately I decided to try the same pair again this year in a larger size, and the new pair have exactly the same odor. I've tried airing them out, wiping them down with a damp cloth, and even just setting them aside for a few weeks, and it doesn't seem to help. I don't even like to keep them in my daughter's closet because you can smell them as soon as you open her closet door. We've purchased quite a few pediped shoes in the past and have never noticed an odor like this. I won't buy another pair of the flex Giselle. This is our daughter's second pair of Pedipeds. When she grew out of her baby moccasins, we searched hard in local stores for shoes that were cute, comfortable and durable and that would stay on her feet. We came up empty handed, so we bought a pair of these online (even though they're a bit pricey) and they were fantastic. She wore them everyday for 8 months and they still look great. Now that she is starting to grow out of them, we replaced them with this new pair. She loves them and they seem as durable and comfortable as the first pair. These came with an extra insole that can be used at first to make the shoe smaller if they are slightly too big. We bought them a little large and have been using the insole and it works great (except that our daughter figured out that they can be pulled out and it's hard to keep her from playing with them).I have purchased this shoe for my 4 year old daughter 2 years in a row. The quality is unparalleled. She wears a uniform with a yellow shirt, and I love how the polka dots incorporate a bit of fun color to her otherwise boring school uniform. Towards the end of the school year (9 months of 2x a week usage) the shoes were in good condition, with one polka dot on the front toe area beginning to wear away. This could be from a multitude of reasons, my daughter dragging her feet behind as she walks, or rides on a scooter or cart, etc, and I don't feel like it takes away from the quality otherwise. The shoe also comes with an insert to extend the life of the shoe for growing feet. These are the best children's shoes we have tried. Excellent arch support. Fit as advertised. Flex system enables you to swap out extra insole to extend wear time as your child's feet grow. Very sturdy materials, these will hold up longer than they will fit your child's growing feet. Flexible soles, ready to wear and don't need to be broken in. These are well worth the money for your kiddo's growing feet. I keep an eye out for price reductions and buy them in larger sizes, as I know they'll eventually fit the little one.I am a big pediped fan. The designs are cute and the fit is great. I have about 4 pediped shoes in every color and find that the quality and craftsmanship is superior to stride rite or a children's place shoe. My 3 year old daughter wore these to school and got 5 compliments the first day. I never really thought I could match this brown color back to many things, because my daughter doesn't have many brown items. But I was wrong...the pink, yellow, and white polka dots match back to a lot of things. My daughter loves these shoes. They are light and sturdy and offer a good support. After a few months of heavy use, the shoes have held well. The only thing that came off is one of the color dots on the front of each shoe from rubbing the front of the shoes during play time. The removable insole makes it easy to verify the fit. I would definitely buy the shoe again. Also, I bought a pair of UMI shoes (Wendi Mary Jane) and found the Pediped to be much lighter than the umi shoe.Gorgeous little shoes well made & delighted with purchaseBy far the worst school shoes I've bought for my daughter for school to date!2 weeks back at school and these shoes are falling apart all over the place! The tread is extremely worn the glitter on the polka dots has all rubbed off! The shoes are patent and I've purchased many other brands in this sort of style and never before have I have the toes of the shoes basically rub outDue to the fact I bought the shoes beginning of August and my daughter started back at school beginning of September apparently I can't return them.I'll be going back to clarks it looks like.....
