So far I am giving these boots three stars because they are a quality brand name and they fit my daughter. I love the look of them, but the problem that I can foresee is that there is fur/insulation and support around the sides and back of the leg, however on the front of the leg (shin), there is just the thin piece of fabric (as seen in the front picture of the boots). For kids who play outside in the snow, they are on their knees a lot or are running through the snow. I see this front part as being a weak spot in the boot and I am fairly certain that I am going to send them back. The two fur sides do not even meet in the front of the shin like I'm thinking they are supposed to. There is nothing, like....literally NOTHING in between that thin piece of fabric and whatever she has covering her legs. What about wearing tights to school? She will freeze if she has to walk through a snowbank. I just can't believe they did not make them like regular boots with the insulation all the way around and then have the exterior shell (that thin fabric) with the cinch ties. I will give it a week or so since we already got about 18 inches of snow on the ground. They do fit her snugly though, as opposed to some of the boots that seem like big clunkers. These are more like sneakers that go up the leg a little. I'm really torn.The boots are great, well built and cute. We live in upstate ny in “snowtown usa” and get some pretty brutal weather. I have Kamiks myself and was so impressed that when my 7 year old outgrew her totes (awful boots btw. Peeled, leaked and fell apart within a month or so of use) I ordered her the kamiks. Unfortunately, these models runs a bit smaller. She normally wears a 1 so I ordered a 2, and honestly, they fit great with socks. But I know that in 2-3 months they’ll be snug. The size 3 is probably what I should have got to be able to have her in wool socks and not outgrown them before the seasons over. So I guess they actually run true to size, I just wanted something a bit bigger to last longer. I can say I have 2 pairs myself and we sled and snowmobile and shovel and basically wear snow boots to shop and run errands in this town and mine still look new. Very warm, no leaks, and great traction, full rubber sole. Tough and provenThe boot is of great quality. However, the biggest issue my 10-year old daughter had was that the inside was nowhere near as comfortable as other Kamik boots. Both my daughters love their previous Kamik boots (Snowbug was one model, and I don't remember the other). Those previous ones had a soft, plush lining on the inside that was super warm and comfortable. That level on comfort is why we have consistently bought Kamik boots for the past 5 years. This boot, unfortunately, has an insert that feels like a felt pad, and is nowhere near as soft or cozy. I'm sure it works fine, but the comfort level is nowhere near the other Kamik boots we've had.The boot also runs a bit narrow. My daughter has wider feet, so that added to the discomfort. However, if someone has narrow feet, I'm sure they'd fit fine.Love these boots. I was almost turned off by them due to the reviews. I read they were heavy & I do not find that to be true. They are actually one of the lightest boots I have bought my daughter. I also read they do not keep the snow out due to a flap on the front. The boots we recieved keep my daughters feet completely dry. The front flap is conceded and there is no way for snow to get in other than the top. She loves them & I'm sure we will buy another pair next year when she grows out of them.Great product super happy with it. Keeps feet warm easy to walk in easy to put on and take off great designWould have given 5 stars if they had fit. They werea whole size too small (ordered 1 size up and they fit too tight) But they slide on easy, feel like they are constructed well and will keep her feet warm. I returned and ordered another size up (2 over her current shoe size).Bought these for my daughter to use this coming winter. She loves them and can't wait for the winter to come so she can wear them. They are well made and sturdy and she tells me they are very comfortable. I appreciate being able to get girl's boots that are fun, but not super girly or covered in cartoon characters.I originally bought these from my son but when I received them in the mail they look exactly like the picture and yet more feminine. Fortunately my son and I are the same shoe size. I used them for myself and I love them!The boots are designed a little skinny in the foot considering there is a liner inside, but I knew this from last year and ordered a size larger. Our daughter wears a size 9 shoe, so we got a size 10 and it fits just right. I love that the liners come out. That's a feature that is very difficult to find in toddler sized boots. She had a pair last year as well (same exact boot, different color), and her feet were always toasty and dry. We'll probably buy these every year as her feet grow. It's worth the price to know that her feet won't be cold or wet, especially at school. She brags about her boots to people all the time as well.The boots are as nice as expected and do fit well but they are never going to hold up in the snow. What you can't see from the picture is that the front flap falls down and the string/laces do not tie up any higher than what you see meaning that the shoes front flap will constantly fill up with snow. I am very disappointedThis is such a stylish pair of boots. Both my daughter and I love it. I have even received many compliments from family friends. My daughter has not complaints with the fit and comfort factor. We ordered size 1. I would love to have a similar one for myself in my sizeFits as expected. Warm for cold snowy weather and good looking enough to wear for family photos. Love Kamiks and these didn’t disappoint!The fit is way off. Due to the liner- I assume I may have to go up at least 1 shoe size. The sole is pretty hard and they are narrow. I am returning and not going to get another pair.
