Description
This is a very interesting story about a very young Finnish child's confusing and upsetting life by being sent from one country to another during the ugly and devastating Russian-Finnish war. She was sent to a different country, away from her own family, to completely unknown and different people with different customs and talking a different language. The first time she was sent away, she was only eighteen months old.

Although there were some small mis-interpretations of similar sounding names,at first,it soon became apparent that it is a story that had to be read,so many children sent from their homes to another country & culture,I had to adjust my mind & remember that her native language was in fact Swedish, although she was from Finland, then she had to learn Danish & then English &French,to write a book in English is a big achievement, the events of the war definitely had an effect on her Life & strengthened her Character.
